CONTRAST
DEFINITION
This type of essay examines two or more subjects, topics, objects, ideas etc.,
comparing their similarities and differences.

Compare
 It is to identify the similarities between two things or subjects.

Contrast
 It is to identify the differences between two things or subjects.
HOW A TOPIC IS PICKED?
It is focused on things which can obviously be compared or differentiated.

For Example;

If we are examining a person, like a president, another should also be a president. A
president would not be compared with a cab driver .

It specifically helps readers reach a critical decision.

Readers read the essay, weigh all aspects of the two objects or subjects and then
decide whether to go against or in favor of a specific consideration.
