Electrical Testing For Wiring Installation-Wireman Second Grade
Electrical Testing For Wiring Installation-Wireman Second Grade
Categories :
1. Testing before Supply Connected
Recommended Result:
For conductor of cable/switch contact, continuity
resistance for bonding conductor less than 1 Ohm
Purpose:
1. To test voltage to ensure no drop voltage due to
termination
looseness.
2. To confirm continuity of connection.
2- To ensure the earth loop impedance is less than Maximum Earth Loop limited by
RCD.
Purpose :
To Test :
1. Maximum short circuit current between Phase-Phase,
Phase-
Neutral which its current causes any breaker/fuse be
burn/totally damaged and efficiency losses in contact
surface.
2. Rating Breaking Current of Breaker/Fuse not less than
PSC in system.
Recommended result:
Permissible Contact Resistance should be referred to Instruction Manual
Example for LV ACB:
C-Power (Larsen@Tubro)- Max 25 Micro-Ohm =0.025 mili-ohm ,Very Good = 5 micro-ohm
Terasaki = Max 100 Micro-Ohm =0.1 mili-ohm
Contact Resistance =
Vd – Voltage Drop
I² - Injected Current
Purpose :
To test insulation level among pole ,between pole
and Earth as well.
