SIGNIFICANCE OF
ACADEMIC WRITING
(SCHOLARLY WRITING) IN
THE ACADEMIC REALM
It is a skill that has been taught to be able to write.
We take it for granted that we write every day on a
variety of platforms. You can write a letter to a buddy
or a Facebook status post, but there are several levels
of writing. Many people do not learn how to write
academically. Even if you wrote a few essays in high
school, you are not automatically an academic writer.
You must first comprehend what an academic work is
before you can learn how to write one.
It's not simply about sounding professional. Even if
you're editing your own LinkedIn profile, you're not an
academic writer. The proof is in your writing's
structure, referencing, and quality. Academic writing
is similar to a task, and each activity has its own set
of instructions. You are an academic writer if you can
follow directions, write in an academic tone, and
produce high-quality content. Let's break it down into
portions of importance if you don't understand why
we need to acquire this ability.
ANALYTICAL WAY OF THINKING
You are forced to think critically when writing an academic paper. You
must take facts and convey it to the reader in a way that makes sense to
them. You can only get the information you need from research. After
that, it's up to you to assess the data and make an opinion on what
you've learned. When you learn to analyze something, you are
developing a skill that will last a lifetime.
