Topics to be covered:
• What is a virus.
• Anti Virus
• What should we do if you have a computer virus
 WHAT IS A VIRUS
A computer virus is a malicious piece of computer code designed to
spread from device to device. A subset of malware, these self-
copying threats are usually designed to damage a device or steal
data.
 ANTI VIRUS
• Anti virus is a computer program intended to detecting and
identify and eliminate computer virus
• Some eg of Anti Virus are: McAfee, Kaspersky, Nortan, Avast etc
SCANNING AND REMOVING VIRUS
• Using an anti virus for this is recommended.
• The anti virus will scan the system files, personal files, EFI and boot
directory for any virus or malicious program.
• After the scan the anti virus will get rid of the virus.
IMPROVING COMPUTER PERFORMANCE
Tips on improving computer performance:
• Use the latest Operating system version and latest drivers.
• Free up space from RAM, open programs which you need.
• Disable unnecessary start up program.
• Delete System32 folder of Windows, to free up space and better
appearance.

Tips on removing spam from computer:
• Scan your computer for any virus.
• Use disk cleanup tool inbuilt in Windows
• Delete unwanted files and applications
• Use a spam removal software
