“I have / I have got” – O que é?
“I have” e “I have got” serve para indicar posse de alguma coisa. Ambas formas
tem o mesmo significado. Por exemplo:

• I have got blue eyes / I have blue eyes. (Eu tenho olhos azuis).
• Tim has got two sisters / Tim has two sisters (Tim tem duas irmãs).
• They like animals. They have got a horse, three dogs and six cats. (Eles
gostam de animais. Eles tem um cavalo, três cachorros e seis gatos).
• Our car has got four doors. (Nosso carro tem quatro portas).
• Diane isn’t feeling well. She’s got a headache. (Diane não está bem. Ela está
com dor de cabeça).
Como que usa com os sujeitos?
• I have – I have got (I’ve got).
• We have – We have got (we’ve got).
• You have – You have got (You’ve got).
• They have – They have got (They’ve got).

• He has – He has got (He’s got).


• She has – She has got (She’s got).
• It has – It has got (It’s got).

Os exemplos acima são positivos.


E no negativo?
Para negar, você usa “not” depois do have/has e antes do got.

• I have not – I have not got (I haven’t got).


• We have not – We have not got (we haven’t got).
• You have not – You have not got (You haven’t got).
• They have not – They have not got (They haven’t got).

• He has not – He has not got (He hasn’t got).


• She has not – She has not got (She hasn’t got).
• It has not – It has not got (It hasn’t got).

Os exemplos acima são negativos.


E no negativo?
Exemplos:

• I’ve got a motor-bike, but I haven’t got a car.


• Peter and Angela haven’t got any children.
• It’s a nice house, but it hasn’t got a garden.

E se eu quiser perguntar?
Para perguntar, você usa have/has no começo da frase. Por exemplo:
Have / has + Sujeito + got + objeto da pergunta.

• Have I got...?
• Have we got...?
• Have you got...?
• Has he got...?
• Has she got...?
• Has it got...?

E se eu quiser perguntar?
Exemplos:

• Have you got a camera?


• What have you got in your bag?
• Has Anne got a car?
• What kind of car has she got?

Como que responde?
Podemos utilizar as short answers (respostas curtas) para responder. Detalhe: Se
você usar yes, usará have/has; se usar no, usará have not/ has not.

• Yes, I have. / No, I have not.


• Yes, we have. / No, we have not.
• Yes, you have. / No, you have not.
• Yes, he has. / No, he has not.
• Yes, she has. / No, she has not.
• Yes, it has. / No, it has not.

Como que responde?
Exemplos de respostas:

• Have you got a camera? No, I haven’t.


• What have you got in your bag? Nothing, it’s empty.
• Has Anne got a car? Yes, she has.

I don’t have / Do you have?
Em negação e perguntas, você pode usar do/does.

• They don’t have any children = They haven’t got any children.
• It’s a nice house but it doesn’t have a garden. = it hasn’t got a garden.
• Does Ann have a car? = Has Ann got a car?
• How much money do you have? = How much money have you got?
