INDEPENDENCE DAY

THE COLOR SCHEME OF THE NORWEGIAN FLAG IS VERY SIMILAR TO THE FLAGS OF OTHER
EUROPEAN COUNTRIES, AND THE SCANDINAVIAN CROSS IS QUITE COMMON. THIS CLEARLY
SHOWS THAT THEY ALL HAVE A COMMON PAST AND THEY ALL REVERE CHRISTIANITY AND THE
TRADITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH IT.

Each of the three colors is a specific symbol:

- red is the blood that true patriots shed for the independence and honor of the country;
- white symbolizes immaculate purity and hope for the peaceful existence of all powers;
- blue indicates that Norway belongs to the maritime powers.
Independence Day in Norway coincides with
the Constitution Day, adopted in 1814 after the
end of the Anglo-Danish war, as a result of the
liberation of Norway from the unlimited power of
Denmark.
May 17 is the only day of the year when work
in Norway is not only prohibited, but also
shameful. If a neighbor notices you for a cause,
hear about how you do not respect the country, it
will immediately spread around the district, and it
will be difficult for you to establish relations. You
can ignore home-cooked meals and flag-waving,
but remain completely indifferent.
The white stripe represents freedom
and peace.
Green stripe - forests and agriculture.
Red symbolizes the blood shed in the
struggle for state independence.
September 22 is celebrated every year as the Independence Day of
Bulgaria. This holiday is dedicated to the anniversary of the proclamation
of the sovereign Bulgarian kingdom on September 22, 1908, when the
Bulgarian prince Ferdinand read out the Manifesto on the Independence of
Bulgaria in the city of Veliko Tarnovo. Before that, Bulgaria was a vassal of
the Ottoman Empire.
Independence Day in honor of the proclamation of the Manifesto of
Independence of Bulgaria in 1908 has been celebrated in the country
since 1998. On the day of the holiday, various celebrations are traditionally
held throughout the country, but especially magnificent ceremonies are
held in the city of Veliko Tarnovo - the city in which the historical manifesto
was proclaimed.
The red color of the flag means the
blood of the Albanian patriots shed by
them in the struggle against the enslavers.
The double-headed eagle in the center of
the flag means the origin of the Albanians,
as the descendants of the eagle.
In Albania, November 28 is celebrated annually as the main national holiday - Independence
Day, often also called Flag Day. This holiday is dedicated to the anniversary of the adoption of
the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Albania on November 28, 1912. Prior to the adoption of
this declaration, Albania was part of the Ottoman Empire.
The celebration of the Independence Day of Albania today is very solemn. Distinguished
guests from different countries come to Albania for official ceremonies on the occasion of the
holiday, and the streets of the country's cities on this day are colored with national flags and
decorated with flowers. One of the main parts of the celebration is usually a military parade,
which takes place in the capital of Albania.
Blue - stands for peace, heaven, sea, hope, the
future of Aruba and its relationship with the past.
Yellow - The two narrow yellow stripes represent
the anti-apartheid struggle in the island's society. One
of the bands is the flow of tourists vacationing in
Aruba, the other is the industry and mineral wealth of
Aruba.
The red color of the star means the blood shed by
the Arubans during the wars.
White - the white border of the star also shows
the honesty and purity of the hearts of the people of
Aruba.
The star, along with 4 rays, means the origin of
the people of Aruba and the 4 key languages spoken
by the inhabitants: Papiamento, Spanish, English and
Dutch. The star also means the island of Aruba itself -
red land, white beaches and azure sea around.
In 1981, during another conference in the Netherlands, it was decided
that Aruba would gain independence in January 1996, after a ten-year
transitional period starting on January 1, 1986, when Aruba became
independent from the Netherlands Antilles.

Despite best efforts in the past decades, Aruba never achieved full
independence in the end, setting one of the few precedents in the world
where a country has abandoned it. The previously agreed intention to
declare the independence of Aruba on January 1, 1996 was canceled by
the Netherlands in 1990 at the request of the government of Aruba, where
by that time opponents of secession from the Netherlands had prevailed.
From time immemorial, Turkmens have used
green color on their cloths. So it was, for example, in
the Seljuk Empire.
This color embodies the unity of times. For both
ancestors and their descendants, green symbolizes
life, earth, the color of grass, prosperity and peace.
The crescent symbolizes a clear sky above the
head of a happy people, while the white color
symbolizes serenity and sincerity.
Five stars are the five regions of Turkmenistan,
they also mean five feelings, and the five ends of each
star are the five states of matter. The double
symbolism on the flag makes it possible to emphasize
the unity of the Turkmen people.
Five national carpet gyols, each of which is framed
by a carpet ornament, also symbolize the regions.
Each figure is a symmetrical medallion, in some cases
divided into four parts of alternating colors.
The date for the "Independence Day of
Turkmenistan" was not chosen by chance. On
October 27, 1991, the Supreme Council of the
Turkmen Soviet Socialist Republic adopted the law
"On the independence and foundations of the state
structure of Turkmenistan." After the collapse of the
USSR, the Turkmen Soviet Socialist Republic
became one of the last union republics in the post-
Soviet space that proclaimed its state sovereignty.
On the eve of Independence Day, a solemn
ceremony of presenting state awards to
distinguished military men, politicians, public figures,
athletes and cultural figures is held. Independence
Day is widely celebrated throughout the country. The
main action is a grandiose military parade, which
takes place on the central square of Ashgabat. Free
concerts, all kinds of fairs and public celebrations
are held in all regions of the country. This significant
day ends with a big sparkling salute.
