The Three Types of Jumps

Triple jump
Start with the basic movements by having your athletes Hop, Step and then Jump from a
standing start. The take-off foot should be the athlete's most muscular leg, as it will be used
in the Hop and the Jump phases
Long jump
Long jumpers start with a running start, propel themselves in the air at a designated launching
point, also called the take-off board, and try to achieve maximum distance in the air before landing
inside a sand pit.
High jump
In the high jump, a competitor must jump from one foot and must not cause the crossbar to fall or else the attempt does not count. Each high
jumper can make the bar higher to complete a jump that’s higher than their competitors’ highest jump. They usually get three attempts to
complete a jump.
