Texts
Objectives:

• Identify the different strategies in summarizing:

• summarize the given text; and,

• Display understanding on the concept of summarizing through


applying effective strathegies in summarizing text.
Objectives:

• To differentiate language used in academic texts from various


disciplines.

• Academic language and social language have its own purpose

• • Academic language is the language needed by students to do the


work in schools
• He is the head of the housekeeping department and serves several responsibilities that include
managing the housekeeping team., translating all hotel policies, procedures and standards into
operations, serving as the representataive of the department meetings and making sure that all
resources are utilized.

Asst. Housekeeper

• He is the head of the given shift and is responsible in managing the


resources provided by the executive housekeeper to achieve its goal of
cleanliness, maintenance and attractiveness of the hotel during his shft.
FLOOR SUPERVISOR
• RESPONSIBLE FIR THE MAINTENANCE AND CLEANLINESS OF GUEST ROOMS ON ALLOTE
FLOORS TO QUALITY ASSURANCE. THEY ARE ALSO RESPONSIBLE IN CONTROLLING THE
HOUSEKEEPING PERSONNEL WHICH COMPOSE OF ROOM ATTENDANTS AND HOUSEMEN.
THEY ARE ALSO RESPONSOBLE IN CONTROLLING MATERIAL ASSETS LIKE BED AND BATH
LINEN, GUEST AND ROOM AMENITIES, DETERGENTS AND CLEANINGG EQUIPMENT. THEY
ALSO GIVE FEEDBACK TO THE FRONT DESK OFFICE OF THE AVAILABILITY OF GUEST ROOMS
IN EACH SHIFT FOR OCCUPANCY

CONTROL DESK SUPERVISOR

• COORDINATE WITH THE MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT TO MAKE SURE


THAT ALL REQUESTS ARE ATTENDED TO AND DONE
Public Area Supervisor

• Responsible for maintening the cleanliness, orderliness and upkeep of all


public areas like lobby, hotels, and public restrooms.

linen Room Supervisor

• Exchange of soiled linen for clean ones. He/she is the custodian of


all linens used and their proper storage. Coordinate with the
laundry supervisor
ROOM ATTENDANTS
• Also called as chambermaid and responsible for cleaning and maintaining the
assigned guest rooms.

Laundy and Linen Room Attendants

• Laundering items like towels, napkins, aprons, uniforms and etc.


Tailor or Upholsters
• Is employed onsite to mend uniforms, linens, upholistery or repurposed ripped
linens into aprns and rags.
