DESCRIPTION - ANALYSIS -
INTERPRETATION
Las dos Fridas is a painting by Frida Kahlo that shows the separation
between two personalities. Both are seated on a bench and are holding
hands, one on the right side is dressed in a simple Mexican style Tehuano
costume, and the Frida on the left side wears a white European style
costume.
The most direct interpretation is that the representation of the sentimental
situation that the artist was going through. Despite this, the breakup is not
considered the central motive but rather the engine that drives the artist to
brilliantly paint her inner world linked to the outside.
