Cleaning
Products
General Purpose Cleaner
Are weakly alkaline surface cleaners
intended for a wide variety of use.
Example: multipurpose spray cleaners for
floors and walls
Surfactants or surface active agents
Are chemical agents that aid in cleaning
surfaces that contain oil, stains and dirt,
which are normally not soluble in water.
Bathroom Cleaners
Are products specifically designed
for bathroom surfaces such as tubs,
tiles and toilet bowls, which normally
develop stains like mildew.
Are either acidic or alkaline
depending on the surface they be
used on
Special Surface Cleaners
It include glass surfaces, carpets, and
upholstery.
Stains and Deposit Removers
Are designed to remove spots and
commercially available as fluids or
sticks
Scouring Cleaners
Require the use of abrasives like
brushes and steel wool to remove solid
deposits on a surface
Disinfectants and Sanitizers
• Used to either eradicate or just lessen microbes
on surfaces, but not necessarily clean tem
• These are both came from liquid forms.
• Usually used in clinics and hospitals,
disinfectants completely kill all disease-
causing microorganisms called pathogens,
such as salmonella and staphylococci bacteria
which cause typhoid fever, diarrhea and skin
infections.
