     Modest start in 1937, when hand-carts were used to distribute Colgate Dental Cream Toothpaste, Colgate-Palmolive  The Company has grown to a Rs. 1700 crore plus organization with an outstanding record of enhancing value for its strong shareholder base. The company dominates the Rs. 3500 crore Indian toothpaste market by commanding more than 50% of the market share. Colgate's long history of strong performance comes from absolute focus on our core global businesses: Oral Care, Personal Care, Home Care and Pet Nutrition. This has been combined with a successful worldwide financial strategy.
