PROJECT PROPOSAL

SHAIRAH JOY LUCAS

I. Project Proposal: Aiding the Children of Brgy. Baay in Their
Learning Gap Caused By the Pandemic

III. Date/Venue: December 1-7, 2022 at Baay Multi purpose hall

IV. Participants: Elementary Children from Baay, Batac City,

Ilocos Norte
V. Background/Rationale (Attached additional sheet if necessary)

During the pandemic, learning was hampered by a plethora of

difficulties that children and families had to deal with. Children of all
ages had to adjust to having more time at home, hybrid schedules,
virtual classes, cancelled sports, less activities, and less time with
friends. The most vulnerable students have been disproportionately
impacted by the disruption to educational systems caused by the
COVID-19 pandemic, compounding pre-existing inequities with
potentially serious and permanent consequences. To close the learning
gap and ensure that all students have a seamless and continuous path
through their educational journey, immediate action is needed. The
children from our community are in need of educational assistance in
order to help them engage in the new system of education and
eventually, close the learning gap.
