INTRODUCTION
The automotive industry is rapidly changing to adapt to new environmental conservation
measures. In this bid, most of the automotive industries are slowly adopting electric cars or
vehicles as a way of producing vehicles that are eco-friendly as well as reducing the amount
cost of fuel consumption for available automobiles.
One remarkable trend is the Aerodynamic drag that promotes vehicle efficiency.
We can notice from the ongoing that the initial cost involved in the manufacture of these
electric vehicles is high and so does it reflect on the cost of purchase. Hence, there will be
very minimal air pollution, this will eventually lead to reduction in green house gases in the
atmosphere.
Other trends include 3D printing and fuel technology through Developing Fuel Cell Vehicles
(FCV) (Alexander, 2018)
FUEL CONSUMPTION
This innovation has seen the development of a new mode of
transmission by vehicles called fuel cell transmission
Fuel cells are cheap and easy to implement.
They have no carbon emission
They are environmental friendly
AERODYNAMICS
• Improving vehicles maneuverability to minimize resistance

• Better aerodynamics increases efficiency or decreases power losses due to drag

• Creation of light weight vehicles to increase speed

• Use of alloys to strengthen the vehicles e.g. carbon fiber (Resta, Gaiardelli
&Pezzotta, 2009).
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
• It focuses on application of life cycle assessment in innovation (Kothari, 2021)
• Emphasizes on input to reduce environmental damage during production process
• Efficient use of water
• Use of renewable sources of energy in production process
• Reduce the use harmful material to save the environment
DELIVERABLES AND COST
• Automotive industries must have reduced cost of production
• Cost on fuel and green supply chain management.
• Research if implemented work time will reduce from 40hrs-30hrs per
week (Van de Hoed, 2007)
• Total cost of aerodynamics is approximately $375,000
