DEFINATION OF PREMOLAR

 The premolars, also called premolar teeth, or

bicuspids, are transitional teeth located between
the canine and molar teeth. In humans, there are
two premolars per quadrant in the permanent set
of teeth, making eight premolars total in the
mouth. They have at least two cusps.

Causes of dental decay

Tooth decay happens when the hard outer enamel of the tooth is
damaged. This can happen when bacteria in the mouth convert sugars
into acids that react with the enamel. Bacteria can then enter the softer
dentine inside.

Proper care of teeth in term of diet and
regular brushing.

Regular tooth brushing helps to prevent tooth decay and

gum disease by reducing the amount of bacteria and
plaque around the teeth and gums. Tips for tooth-brushing
include: Clean your teeth and along the gum line twice a
day; in the morning and before bed.
