introduction
The concept of management evaluated through the years and went
through a lot of concept where we recognise three principle
schools : classic, humanistic and contingency . Classic
management has three key approaches are administrative by henry
fayol who came with idea of work division ,scientific by taylor
where we have SOW scientific orgzisztion of work and ford with
the concept of fordism and bureaucratic by max weber who studied
the concept of authority and power .humanistic management has
four main thinkers : Eton Mayo with the experiment of Hawthorne,
A.Maslow and its hierarchy of needs ,Mcgregor with the X and Y
theory and herzberg and the motivation theory. Finally the
contingency management which is the most modern management
where we see that there is no specific perfect function.
So, what are the
most important
composant of the
management
concept?
Definition
Management is the process of getting things done, effectively and
efficiently with and through other people. The definitions of
management has evolved through time due to social values and beliefs
changing because of globalisation and technological advancements .
Policies are now in place in regards to human rights and in workplace
operations referring to Taylorism whereby organisations adopt a more
autocratic approach to management, this is now slowly being replaced
by more contemporary styles such as focusing specifically on human
behaviour. Thus, how organisations manage their systems as well as
their human resources have shifted to target issues of sustainability
and equality. For example, promoting gender equality
