BASKETBALL
RULES AND REGULATIONS
The ball may be thrown in any direction with one or both hands.
The ball may be batted in any direction with one or both hands
(never with the fist).
A player cannot run with the ball. The player must throw it from
the spot on which he catches it, allowance to be made for a man
who catches the ball when running at a good speed if he tries to
stop.
The ball must be held in or between the hands; the arms or
body must not be used for holding it.
No shouldering, holding, pushing, tripping, or striking in any
way the person of an opponent shall be allowed; the first
infringement of this rule by any player shall count as a foul,
the second shall disqualify him until the next goal is made, or,
if there was evident intent to injure the person, for the whole
of the game, no substitute allowed.
A foul is striking at the ball with the fist, violation of Rules
3,4, and such as described in Rule 5.
If either side makes three consecutive fouls, it shall count a goal for
the opponents (consecutive means without the opponents in the mean
time making a foul).
A goal shall be made when the ball is thrown or batted from the
grounds into the basket and stays there, providing those defending
the goal do not touch or disturb the goal. If the ball rests on the
edges, and the opponent moves the basket, it shall count as a goal.
When the ball goes out of bounds, it shall be thrown into the field of
play by the person first touching it. In case of a dispute, the umpire
shall throw it straight into the field. The thrower-in is allowed five
seconds; if he holds it longer, it shall go to the opponent. If any side
persists in delaying the game, the umpire shall call a foul on that
side.
The umpire shall be judge of the men and shall note the fouls and
notify the referee when three consecutive fouls have been made. He
shall have power to disqualify men according to Rule 5.
The referee shall be judge of the ball and shall decide when the ball
is in play, in bounds, to which side it belongs, and shall keep the time.
He shall decide when a goal has been made, and keep account of the
goals with any other duties that are usually performed by a referee.
The time shall be two 15-minute halves, with five minutes’ rest
between.
The side making the most goals in that time shall be declared the
winner.

have 12 to 15 players.
• Each team is required to register set's of players for both
men's and women's divisions.
• Players are only allowed to join one ball game.
• Team captain should either be a 1st year or 2 year.
• Player's should be present 15 minutes before their game.
Player's who will cause delay to schedule will be sanctioned
accordingly.
• Three-set matches are two sets to 25 points and the third set
to 15 points.
• Each set must be won by two points.
• If both teams are tied at the 24 point mark, the game
continues until a team leads by 2 points.
• The first team to win two sets is the winner of the match.
BADMINTON
RULES
• A game can take place with either two (singles) or four (doubles) players.
• An official match has to be played indoors on the proper court
dimensions. The dimensions are 6.1m by 13.4m, The net is situated
through the middle of the court and is set at 1.55m.
• To score a point the shuttlecock must hit within the parameters of the
opponents court.
• If the shuttlecock hits the net or lands out then a point is awarded to
your opponent.
• Players must serve diagonally across the net to their opponent. As
points are won then serving stations move from one side to the
other. There are no second serves so if your first serve goes out
then your opponent wins the point.
• A serve must be hit underarm and below the servers waist. No
overarm serves are allowed.
• Each game will start with a toss to determine which player will
serve first and which side of the court the opponent would like to
start from.
• Once the shuttlecock is ‘live’ then a player may move around the
court as they wish. They are permitted to hit the shuttlecock from
out of the playing area.
• If a player touches the net with any part of their body or
racket then it is deemed a fault and their opponent
receives the point.
• A fault is also called if a player deliberately distracts their
opponent, the shuttlecock is caught in the racket then
flung, the shuttlecock is hit twice or if the player
continues to infract with the laws of badminton.
• Each game is umpired by a referee on a high chair who
overlooks the game. There are also line judges who
monitor if the shuttlecock lands in or not. The referee has
overriding calls on infringements and faults.
• Let may be called by the referee if an unforeseen or accidental
circumstance arose. These may include the shuttlecock getting
stuck in the bet, server serving out of turn, one player was not
ready or a decision which is too close to call.
• The game has only two rest periods coming the form of a 90
second rest after the first game and a 5 minute rest period
after the second game.
• If the laws are continuously broken by a player then the
referee holds the power to dock that player of points with
persisting fouls receiving a forfeit of the set or even the match.

TUG OF WAR
RULES
Each team in a Tug of War competition consists of 8-10 people.
There are various weight classifications in Tug of War, and the
mass of the 8-10 people combined must not weigh more than
that determined by the category that they are placed in.
The rope used should be of a circumference of approximately
11 cm and should be marked in the middle with a centre line as
well as two marks that should be placed 4m from the centre
line.
At the start of the pull, the centre line of the rope should be
immediately above line marked on the ground.
Both teams pull the rope, the winner being the team who
manage to pull the mark on the rope closest to their
opponents over the centre line.
The rope must be pulled underarm and nobody’s elbow
must go below the knee, otherwise a foul will be called.
Matches are often a best of three pull, the winner winning
two out of the three pulls.
CHESS
• How To Play With Chess Tournament Rules
Touch-move - If a player touches one of their own
pieces they must move that piece as long as it is a legal
move. If a player touches an opponent's piece, they
must capture that piece. A player who wishes to touch
a piece only to adjust it on the board must first
announce the intention, usually by saying “adjust”.
Clocks and Timers - Most tournaments use timers to
regulate the time spent on each game, not on each move.
Each player gets the same amount of time to use for their
entire game and can decide how to spend that time. Once a
player makes a move they then touch a button or hit a lever
to start the opponent's clock. If a player runs out of time
and the opponent calls the time, then the player who ran out
of time loses the game (unless the opponent does not have
enough pieces to checkmate, in which case it is a draw).

by an A or B, then defend it until there is not enough time.
Hard Point – The teams must rush to secure a “hardpoint”
on the map and repel the area from the enemies.
Domination - is a more strategic mode than Team
Deathmatch, in which teams of five need to capture and hold
