Introduction

 A bridge is a structure built to span river, valley, road, railroad track,

body of water, or any other physical obstacle.

INTRODUCTION

 The purpose of a bridge is to allow people or cargo easy passage over an

obstacle by providing a route.

Problem Statement:
RESEARCH PROBLEM

 On October 8, 2005 Kashmir earthquake, a large number of bridge structures

collapsed, leading to widespread destruction and claim of lives.

 So, there is a need to check the bridge structures in the high earthquake prone zones of

Pakistan. In our research, we are going to perform a progressive pushover analysis of a

reinforced concrete bridge to ensure the seismic demand and safety of people.

Research Objectives:
RESEARCH OBJECTIVES

 To perform the nonlinear static analysis (Pushover Analysis).

 To study the behavior of hinge formation.

 To check the seismic demand of the undertaking bridge against different

drift levels.
