WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE


OF A FLAG?
It describes the authority and
power of the nation
it is also a symbol of peace, unity
and freedom of all the people
inside its territory.
WHY DO WE USE FLAG/S?
a symbol of a nation's pride
and values.
 use their banners to display
their country's pride to other
nations.
 The House of Representatives approved on 3rd and final
reading the bill specifying the right rendition of the
national anthem, "Lupang Hinirang," and strengthening
the rules on the proper use and display of the Philippines'
national symbols.
 Through a vote of 212-0-0, lawmakers approved House
Bill (HB) Number 5224 or the Revised Flag and
Heraldic Code, which in effect would repeal the
existing Republic Act Number 8491or the Flag and
Heraldic Code of the Philippines.
 HB 5224 specifies the proper rendition of "Lupang
Hinirang" in accordance with the musical arrangement
and composition of Juan Felipe: 2/4 beat when played,
within the range of 100 to 120 metronome, in 4/4 beat
when sang.
 When the national anthem is played, the public is
required to sing and do so "with fervor." (READ: PH
national anthem:)
 Individuals whose faith prohibit them from singing
"Lupang Hinirang" must still show full respect.
STIFFER PENALTIES
 Violators would face stiffer penalties. The
fine for individual violators will be raised
to the range of P50,000 to P100,000 from
the current P5,000 to P20,000. Violators
may also face imprisonment up to a year.
