MANGIFERA INDICA

PANCAKE:
A PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
AND ACCEPTANCE LEVEL
INTRODUCTION
There has been a tremendous pressure on
medicinal plants for their extensive utilization
as sources of raw materials for the
pharmaceutical industries. Demands for
medicinal plants are rapidly increasing not only
in developing countries but also in the
developed ones.
Medicinal plants have various effects on living systems.

Mango leaves are also rich in many nutrients, such as


pectin, fiber and vitamin C. This helps in lowering bad
cholesterol levels in your body. These leaves are also
known to relieve the symptoms of diabetes, such as
frequent urination at night, blurred vision and excessive
weight loss.(1)
Mango are full of healing and medical properties.These
leaves contain vitamins C, A and B.These leaves can be
boiled in water or can be consumed in powder form. (2)

As per the Chinese can be your answer to cure diabetes.


An extract of mango leaves has been used for centuries to
treat diabetes as well as asthma. It is because of the
leaves’ abundance in nutrients. (3)
The extract can improve insulin production
and distribution of glucose, effectively
stabilizing blood sugar levels in
diabetes.Because mango leaves are rich in
pectin, Vitamin C and fiber,they can also lower
bad cholesterol. Plus, mango leaves can reduce
those annoying day to day symptoms of
diabetes,such as frequent urination at
night,unexplainned weight loss and blurry

Mangiferin, Catechin and Epicatechin are the major
phyto-constituents.” Int. J.Chem. Sci. These flavonoids are
responsible for the antioxidant effects of the mango stem
bark and leaves.

According to Michael lheonukara Okpara et. al., renowned
political leader and premier of Eastern Nigerian during the
First Republic. of , an extract of mango leaves has been
used for centuries to treat diabetes as well as asthma. It
is because of the leaves’ abundance in nutrients.
Mango leaves extract can improve the insulin production
in your body. Besides that, it also increases the
distribution of glucose, which helps in stabilizing sugar
levels in your blood.

There are foods like Malungay Pandesal, Malunggay


Chips, Kalabasa Chips and Cassava Cake that are becoming
popular these days. This experiment is a food production
connected to the said examples, this is a pancake flavored
with mango leaves.
The purpose of this research is really an
ongoing process of correcting and refining
hypothesis, which should lead to the
acceptance of the product magnifera indica
pancake and its scientific truth.

Table 1 shows the distribution of respondents according to their age. Majority of the
students belongs to the age braket 11-20 years old,which is composed of 35 respondents and
with a percentage of 70%.

CONCLUSION
1. Majority of the respondent’s age ranges from 11-20 years old.

2. Most of the respondents are single.

3. Majority of the respondents are Ilocano

4. In terms of aesthetical appeal, respondents extremely like the


attractiveness of the product, which has the highest mean followed by
its uniqueness. It can be inferred that the aesthetic appeal of
mangifera indica pancake is acceptable for consumer.
5. In terms of texture, respondents extremely like a
consistent texture and blend of ingredients. It can be
inferred that the texture of mangifera indica pancake is
acceptable for consumer.

6. In terms of aroma, respondents extremely like the


pleasing scent of the product.

7. In terms of taste, respondents extremely like the blend


of flavoring of the product that gives them satisfaction
also their expected taste has been attained.
