RATIONALE
• Small enterprises are a highly competitive industry in
every country, and they contribute significantly to the
country's economy and growth.
• Traditionally, Small Enterprises kept their records
manually. That is a pretty slow process that takes more
time and money. Karunananda and Jayamaha (2011)
emphasize this issue by stating that inadequate record
keeping, inefficient use of accounting information to assist
financial decision-making, and low quality and reliability of
financial data are all problems.
• The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that
influence ICT usage by concentrating on the use of CAIS by
Small Enterprises.

• In today's computerized, linked, global corporate

environment, CAIS has become the "engine of growth" in small
and medium-sized firms. As a result, it includes the
computerization of accounting information systems, which are
designed to aid decision making.
ADVATAGES OF CAIS
• Faster regular transaction processing
• Timeliness
• Quick analysis
• Accuracy
• Reporting
