The articles are words to indicate whether a


noun refers to a specific or a general item

There are 2 types of articles in the English


language: the indefinite a/an, and the definite
article the.

Indefinite article a/an
We use indefinite articles to introduce general nouns
The difference between A and AN
 A and AN have the same meaning

 A and AN are indefinite articles, the difference depends on the sound at the beginning of the word.
Definite article the
We use definite article to introduce specific nouns
