The Curriculum Development Division (BPK) introduced Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as a subject in 2006.

The Malaysia Examinations Syndicate (LPM) designed the assessment instruments based on the syllabus released by the Curriculum Development Division (BPK).

The development of these assessment instruments is based on the standard test specification table (JSU) to maintain the quality and standard, as well as the validity and the reliability of the test scores.

Information for the assessor

The ICT teacher(s) in the school will be the assessor(s). The assessment must be carried out individually even though some of the practical works are carried out in groups. Assessment can only be carried out when both the candidate and the assessor are well prepared/ready.

Information for the assessor

The assessor should consider giving opportunities for candidates who request for re-assessment. All the individual scores must be transferred to the Batch Score Form (BSF). (Refer to Appendix BSF - page 88)

Information for the internal verifier

The internal verifier must be the principal or any person appointed by him/her verify the implementation of coursework on the Individual Score Form (ISF page 87) and Batch Score Form (BSF - page 88) ensure that all scores and documents which have been verified are kept in the safe place

Information for the internal verifier

The internal verifier must ensure that the coursework assessment process is implemented according to the procedure. (Refer to 13.0 Assessment Procedure Form 4 coursework assessment document) candidates assessment portfolio is sent to the candidates new school when he/she goes on transfer.

Information for the external verifier

This task is to be carried out by the state curriculum officers, teachers or any party appointed by the State Education Department.

All coursework must be done by the candidates themselves. A candidate on transfer must ensure that the internal verifier (principal) sent his/her portfolio to the new school.

ASPECT Apply all the phases of multimedia production to produce an interactive educational multimedia project. Gather examples of immersive multimedia in education, business or entertainment. Apply program development phases to develop a problem-solving program. Collect information on the latest programming languages. Find out current developments in computer information systems.

Criteria
Nine aspects to be assessed from three learning areas at form 4 level. 6 aspects address the practical skills and 3 aspects address current and future issues. Six aspects to be assessed from three learning areas at form 5 level. 3 aspects address the practical skills and 3 aspects address current and future issues.

Evidence

Candidate must submit coursework portfolio to assessor. Assessor must submit candidates coursework portfolio and completed assessment form ISF and BSF to the Internal Verifier. Assessor must keep candidates coursework portfolio in a safe place.

Portfolio

The student portfolio is referred to as Coursework Portfolio. All the evidences must be kept in Coursework Portfolio. The contents of Coursework Portfolio must be arranged in the following order; 1. Cover Page (Appendix CWP) 2. Record Of Submission (Appendix ROS) 3. Assessment Checklist Form (Appendix ACF) 4. Written assignment for S05, S07, S11 and S13 5. Reports for S08, S10 and S12 6. CD containing soft copies of assessment evidence.

All products must be kept in a safe place

Process
All evidences must be recorded in Assessment Checklist Form (ACF). Any relevant evidence in printed form must be attached to the respective ACF. Any relevant evidence in soft copy form must be kept in the CD as assessment evidence.

Assessment Procedure
Teaching and Learning Process

Candidate and assessor are ready for assessment.

Assessment carried out based on the aspect and criteria given. (Refer to Table of Constructs for every aspect -TOC.CW.LAx.S0xx.x) the Assessment Checklist Form (refer to ACF for every aspect - ACF.CW.LAx.S0xx.x)

Candidate satisfied with the score given by the assessor.

Candidate NOT satisfied with the score given by the assessor request for re-assessment.

Assessor transfers candidate score to the Individual Score Form (refer to ISF CW) Assessor enters all the candidates score into the Batch Score Form (BSF). Internal Verifier verifies Individual Score Form (ISF) of all candidates and the Batch Score Form (BSF). The Batch Score Form (BSF) is sent to the Malaysian Examinations Syndicate through JPN and online
NOTE: The External Verifier may visit and verify the assessment process any time within the assessment duration.
