Abstract
A greenhouse is a structure that is built of walls and a
transparent roof. It is designed to maintain regulated
climatic conditions. These structures are used for the
cultivation of plants, fruits, and vegetables which require a
particular level of sunlight, temperature, humidity, and
soil moisture. IOT and based Greenhouse Environment
Monitoring and Controlling Project is designed to
maintain these conditions in the greenhouse.
Problem statement:-
A green house is where plants such as flowers and
vegetables are grown. Greenhouses warmup during the
day when sun-rays penetrates through it, which heats
the plant, soil and structure. Green houses help to
protect crops from many diseases, particularly those
that are soil borne and splash onto plants in the rain.
Greenhouse effect is a natural phenomenon and
beneficial to human being.
Introduction:-
The Agriculture is the backbone of India's economic
activity. More than 50% of India's population relies on
agriculture and it contributes about 14% to the overall
GDP. A Greenhouse can be defined as a close structure
which is used to protect the plants from external
factors such as climatic conditions, pollution, etc.
Literature survey:-

1.Smart Design of Microcontroller They have used microcontroller

Based Monitoring System for based monitoring system which was
Agriculture developed and which monitors
different environmental parameters
like soil moisture, relative humidity
and atmospheric temperature.
1. A wireless sensors network for They proposed a research work in a
monitoring environmental variable in a tomato greenhouse in the South of Italy.
tomato greenhouse – They are using sensor devices for the
air temperature, pH of water and CO2
level measurements with wireless
sensor network.
Overview of model:-
The IoT and Arduino project monitors and controls the
greenhouse's temperature, light, humidity, and soil
moisture using four sensors. The temperature sensor
detects the greenhouse's temperature. The sensor sends
data to the microcontroller. The microprocessor
controls relays. One of the relays controls a fan.
Modules:-
Requirements:-
The components used in the IOT and Arduino Based
Greenhouse Environment Monitoring and Controlling
systems are
Temperature Sensor
Light Sensor
Humidity Sensor
Soil Moisture Sensor
Microcontroller – Arduino
Relays
DC Motor
ESP8266
Advantages :-

Reliability of crop increases in green house cultivation

Expands your growing season
Expanding the variety among your produce
Minimize external threats to your crop
Disadvantages:-

High upfront and operating expenses

Lack of pollination
Future scope &conclusion:-

A smart greenhouse monitoring system has been

implemented successfully using the concept of IoT
which can prove to be a boon for agriculture sector.
The traditional system for greenhouse monitoring is
labor-intensive and time consuming. The proposed
system saves time, money and human effort. It
provides a controlled environment for the plants and
thus increase the overall yield
Conclusion
This Greenhouse project is designed intelligently for
the betterment of the crop growth. The system gives
the high efficiency plant growth, low cost and effective
working. so effective and the data can be stored in
cloud for the future use.
