Under Disaster Prevention and

Address current and reduce future risks of communities and government through
GOAL institutionalized mainstreaming of integrated risk management into science, policy and
practice

1) Improve access, understanding and use of risk information in all barangays within the next seven (7) years
2) Assess the capacity and adequacy of, as well as linkages between, critical infrastructure systems and upgrade
these as necessary according to the risks identified in the city
3) Develop and implement risk centered and gender responsive local policies, plans, and budgets
OBJECTIVES 4 )Institutionalize timely, responsive, proactive, context – and culture-specific early warning systems for at-risk
communities in Quezon City
5) Improve access to effective, responsive and inclusive risk financing and insurance mechanism
6 ) Safeguard and maximize use of natural buffers to enhance the protective and resource-giving functions
offered by natural ecosystems

I. Communities understand and use risk information and research that are readily accessible
II. Safer and resilient critical infrastructure that are capable to absorb future shocks and stresses and still able to
OUTCOMES maintain essential functions, structures and systems
III. Local government and communities use science-based risk information in policymaking, planning, and
budgeting process
IV. Communities have access to effective, responsive and inclusive risk financing and insurance mechanism
