INTRODUCTION
RESULTS
Normal person can communicate with each other they can share there thoughts with each other very easily .They
can tell there feeling to each other .But the person who is deaf and dumb he/she cannot share their thoughts or
feeling to the normal person. Deaf and dumb have there own language which can not be understand by the
normal person. The total population of the world is 7.674 billion (2019). Out of this 430 million individuals on the
planet and 4.6 million individuals in Pakistan are experiencing hearing and discourse hindrance which implies that
they can't impart, talk about their thoughts and feelings. So they depend on the other . As communication via
gestures is definitely not an all inclusive language and it shifts from one country to another, local area to local
area. This Sign Language Smart Glove will convert their sign language to the words which they want to tell to the
normal person. This will reduce the barrier between the normal person and them. They can then communicate to Posture for: I need Help Posture for: What is your name
the Normal person. They can share there feelings to other. They can communicate like a Normal person.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
The Project came into existence for one sole purpose to help the Deaf and Dumb community to easily
communicate and interact with there nearby surrounding. The aim is to convert the different gesture of the hand
to the words and display it on the smartphone screen. This would be a great blessing for those physically
challenge children by reducing the communication gap between their community and the normal world.

The main objective of this project is to design the Smart Glove for the Deaf and Dumb. SO they can:
• Communicate to the Normal person.
• Share there feelings and thoughts to the Normal person.
• To Reduce the Barrier gap between the Normal person.

METHODOLOGY
• Selecting the sign language to be converted.

• Understanding the sign gestures to be implemented. Posture for: I do not understand Posture for: I am sorry
• Understanding the working of the Flex sensor and the Gyro.
• Making of the data sets of the gestures.

• Designing the prototype using sensors to convert gestures to digital data.

• Conversion of digital data to alphabets by coding process.

• Implementation of whole model and code in a prototype.

• Display of the output on the mobile device wirelessly.

CONCLUSION
We have made the smart glove for the Deaf and Dumb that is converting the gestures of the Hand
to the words. Different postures are added in it so that there should be no overlapping of the
words. The glove is very comfortable and easy to use. Words are displaying on the smart phone
screen. In addition to this we have attach a speaker for the listening purpose.
