Children will find these balloons very relaxing as they squish and squeeze the different fillings, the muscles in
their hands will relax and signal to their bodies they are calm. There is also the opportunity to practice
mindfulness and using our senses to explore how they feel and what sounds the balloons make.
Our sensory balloons are filled with materials that the Toddler children can squash and explore. It is a great
way for children to explore the sense of touch. Not only is this a sensory activity, it's also great for building
up fine motor skills

THING YOU NEEDS

- Glitter
- sand
- paint
- shaving foam
- corn flour/water
- bubble bath
- cereal

Activity: Colored Pasta
MATERIALS
- Smooth textured pasta
- Plastic zipper bags
- White vinegar
- Parchment paper
- Food coloring
- Measuring cups
- Disposable cup

STEPS
Measure about 2 cups of desired pasta, add to plastic zipper
bag.  
Add 1/8 of vinegar to a disposable cup, then add 20-30 drops of
food coloring and stir.
Add mixture to pasta in bag.  
Mix well by shaking the bag until pasta is covered in color.
Add additional food coloring to bag to increase color saturation
if desired.
Spread out on parchment paper to let dry.
Break up and mix pasta 30 min into drying time to help it from
sticking together.   
Allow to dry overnight.
