ABRAHA
M
Abraham was born in Ur, a city in the south of
Babylonia, but for most of his life he traveled
as a nomad in the region of present day Israel.
Abraham lived around 1800 BC

Abraham had to wait for a long time. God had called Abraham when he was 75 years old. By
then, Abraham and his wife Sarah did not have any children. And yet, God had promised to
give them a child

Abraham became known as “The Father of Many

Nations” through a promise given to him by God. It
was Abraham’s faith in the “one true living God”
that has built kingdoms and divided nations.

Abraham was an example of faith when his son

ISAAC @TheLifeofIsaac

The Book of Genesis details the entire life of Isaac. He was

a miracle child, greatly desired by his parents Abraham and
Sarah. Sarah was ninety and Abraham was 100 when he was
born. Isaac was such a miracle, that Sarah laughed at the
very idea that she would have a baby when a messenger
from God told Abraham about it: Her despair reached such
depths she encouraged Abraham to have a child with her
handmaid Hagar, who conceived a son named Ishmael. After
Isaac’s birth, tensions began to build between the two
women and the half-brothers. At Sarah’s encouragement,
Abraham sent Hagar and Ishmael away, with God’s promise
that He would take care of them. Perhaps the most
memorable and significant moment from Isaac’s life was

with his father, on a mountain top. Isaac had grown up,

loved by his parents, and learning to love and follow God.

JACOB
Jacob first appears in Genesis, he is the the son of Isaac and
Rebecca and the twin brother of Esau. As a twin in the womb with
Esau, he jostled for position and it was his brother's desire for a
position that their father Isaac knew about it afterwards. For
Jacob's sake to be free from harm that his brother Esau tend to do,
Isaac told Jacob find himself a wife from among his own people,
so Isaac sent Jacob to his uncle Laban who lived in their ancestral
home of Haran (Genesis 27:43). It was another chapter of Jacob's
life where he had met his two wives and concubines. They all gave
birth to a total of twelve sons and one daughter. Those twelve sons
