Main parts of the tractor
• Engine. Like almost all vehicles, this is the main
element of a tractor frame. Its job, in summary, is to
transmit force and promote the mobility of the vehicle by
generating mechanical energy.
• Gearbox. Control the speed and displacement of the
tractor. Thanks to its different forward and reverse
speeds, you can adjust the forward speed and traction
force of the vehicle. This is another essential item
• Automotive steering. It is made up of the system of
elements that allow the tractor to be directed towards its
destination. It works on the steering wheels, which are
usually the front ones, and is controlled by the steering
wheel.
• Take power. It is an axis that transmits movement to the
implements attached to the vehicle. It is generally
located at the rear, between the hydraulic arms,
although on some models it can also be found at the
front.
• Hitch. This part allows the attachment of
implements and other structures such as
trailers. In the case of wanting to hook a
suspended element, it must have a three-point
structure.

• Hydraulic arms. Facilitates maneuvering with

attached implements by allowing them to be
raised and lowered. The most common is to
find them at the rear of the tractor, however
there are models that have them in front.

• Brakes. Mainly for safety reasons, these are

one of the most important items among all
tractor parts. Its role is to slow down the
vehicle, being able to come to a complete stop.
• Chassis. It is a metal structure that supports and gives
rigidity to the whole tractor. Most of its main elements
are articulated around it.

• Wheel. They rest the tractor on the ground, serve as a

support, favor fixing to the ground and allow movement
through it. The importance of choosing the right tire is
key to the correct operation of the machine.

• Seat. This is the element from which the driver

manages the whole, so it is also one of the most
important parts of the tractor. A good seat must be
comfortable and absorb the vibrations of the vehicle,
among other things.
