children in an increasingly digitalized society where most individuals, including children,
own electronic devices with screens.

response to a pleasurable experience. If a person
experiences this pleasure while playing video games,
the brain associates the activity with dopamine.

that intensive video gaming can have negative effects
on school achievement.

math and reading tests.
