FCTC)
It is the first treaty of WHO.
The treaty’s provisions include rules that govern
the following:

demand for tobacco, namely:

world.

Global Alliance for Vaccines and
Immunizations (GAVI)
This alliance is aimed at providing an
increased supply of vaccines and allowing
them to be more accessible to the population.
It also aimed at strengthening the research
development for better and cheaper vaccinations.

GAVI has set five (5) strategic
objectives:

3. Accelerate research and development efforts on
vaccines and related products needed by developing
countries, especially those against HIV/AIDS,
malaria, and tuberculosis;

5. Make immunization coverage an integral
part of the design and assessment of
international development efforts, including
debt relief.

of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and
Malaria (Global Fund), which was created in 2002.

WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control
(FCTC)
In the US State of Arizona and Scotland, hospital
admission for asthma dropped after a year of strong
smoke-free legislation and the introduction of a smoke-
free law.
Increases tax revenues to reduce tobacco use and
sustainability fund.
Sin Tax Law was also introduced.

Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunizations
(GAVI)
The introduction of new vaccines on both immunization and
health systems. However, the impacts may vary depending
on the strengths and weaknesses in the existing health
system, type, and relevance of service in a given set of
socioeconomic, and institutional, and cultural circumstances.
