This module aim:


1. To learn about the applications of Fluid Flow to:
 Channel flows
 Supersonic flow
 Dimensional Analysis
 Viscous flow through pipes
2. To use Mathematical techniques to solve complex fluid
problems
3. To understand the importance of Fluid Mechanics in
modern Engineering
Assessment

 Laboratory Reports (TBC)- (50%)


 Phase Test exam (End of term 2)- (50%).

1. Critical understanding and application of theories in fluid


mechanics relevant to solving engineering problems
2. Thorough understanding of experimental aspects related to
compressible and incompressible fluid flow by carrying out
practical measurements, research and calculations (Report)
