Homogeneous Functions

A polynomial in and is said to be homogeneous if all its terms are of the same
degree.
A function in two variables and is said to be a homogeneous function of
degree if for any positive number .

Homogeneous Functions

Example:

(1) is homogeneous of degree 2.

(2) is homogeneous of degree -½.

(3) is homogeneous of degree zero.

(4) is not homogeneous.
