Clothing Policy

Purpose
We want to reduce skin to pad
In an attempt to: contact on our equipment
Enhance Sanitation
This is in order to:
Protect Equipment
Reduce the transmission of diseases
Risk Management
Promote hygiene
Protect our equipment
A dress code will be initiated
Applicability
The University Recreation Clothing Policy applies to:

➔ All CCU Students (Including Alumni)

➔ All CCU Staff and Faculty

➔ Any other patrons that wish to access the


facility
Responsibility

● Director of University Recreation


● Associate Director of University Recreation
● All student staff
Clothing Policy

● Applies while using HTC Student Resource and


Convocation Center and Williams Brice
○ Shirts must cover the trunk of the body

○ Shorts must completely cover the buttocks

○ Shoes must be worn at all times outside of the locker rooms and
should cover the entire foot

○ Heels, sandals, and boots are not permitted in areas where physical
activity occurs
Procedures and Guidelines
• Interview process
• Lays out foundation of the policy
• Policy buy-in
• Teach student workers the specifics of the policy
• How to approach violator
• Ask violator their name and refer to them by their name
• Give the violator the benefit of the doubt
• Explain the why
• Explain violation
• Take action/offer shirt if needed
• Constant reinforcement of the policy
Disciplinary Process
● If the policy is violated by a gym patron, University Recreation staff will explain
the dress code policy and why it’s being enforced
● A t-shirt is offered to the gym patron

○ If they refuse the t-shirt they are then asked to leave

○ If they refuse to leave then public safety is contacted to have the


violator removed
● The violator would be banned until they have a meeting with the Director of
University Recreation
