solutions for giving us the opportunity to do an internship within the organization.
we also would like all the people that worked along with us at Hawi software
solutions with their patience and openness they created an enjoyable working

• We have been working on web development section of the company. Because we have
interest in websites and related areas also Web development careers continue to become
in demand as technology progresses. More and more businesses are adapting to the
digital world where having a website is a must. Therefore, more web developers are
needed to fulfil the demand in this career. Even in the coming years, the web developer
career is still seen as a highly needed job. so we have good chance in the future.

• In which section of the company you have been working and why?
we have been working at Hawi software solutions in website development section of the company,
we choose website development because we have interest in websites and related areas also Web
development careers continue to become in demand as technology progresses. More and more

developers are needed to fulfil the demand in this career. Even in the coming years, the web
developer career is still seen as a highly needed job. so we have good chance in the future.
WHAT TYPES OF SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT, TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES YOU HAVE BEEN USING
WHILE PERFORMING YOUR WORK TASKS.

For the design of database, for the system XAMPP Server is used as a database tool.
Visual Studio code and notepad is used as the IDE for web development tool.
For the design and development of system following tools are used:
• Php storm
• XAMPP Server
• php Laravel framework
• CSS
• HTML
• JavaScript
WHAT MAJOR CHALLENGES AND PROBLEMS YOU HAVE BEEN FACING AND IDENTIFYING
WHILE PERFORMING YOUR WORK TASKS.

• The most difficult challenges we faced is not knowing the software(Laravel) that widely used in the company so we
have to start from scratch. Therefore we spent most of our time by learning about the new framework instead of
focusing in the work.

• Hassen is traveling from Wonji to Adama in order to attend in the internship so he spend a lot of money just by
traveling.

What measures you have taken (propose as a solution for the selected problems) in order to overcome these
challenges and problems, etc.

• We try our best to learn the software and tools that used in the company as soon as possible and we understood
some concept about the framework.

• Hassen used some video call platforms to communicate with his mentor in the last sessions of the internship.
WHAT YOU GAINED IN TERMS OF UPGRADING YOUR THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE ?

• we gained a lot of knowledge about what web programming look like and how websites are developed.
we enhance our knowledge of html, css and php. Therefore these helped us to understand the concept
behind the practical side and to involve a little more confidently in to practice. And other thing we knew is
a framework called 'Laravel'. We try to learn this software from our mentors and other learning platforms
therefore this helps us to provide some ideas to solve the real world problems.

•we start internship together we also work internship report together so it helped us to understand our

ISSUES AND COMPANY PSYCHOLOGY?

• In our early internship weeks, it can be challenging to figure out what behaviours are and are not acceptable in internship environments.
What set of moral principles, values, and attitudes are valid around internship and how to act at internship. A good thing we done is by
observing Pay attention to how the co-workers behave each other to gain a better understanding of their “etiquette,” as well as the
communication styles of different people and teams. We often examine what behaviours are commonly acceptable and appropriate.

Here are some things that helped us to develop a good work ethic

WHAT YOU GAINED IN TERMS OF IMPROVING YOUR INTERPERSONAL
COMMUNICATION SKILLS ?

•The internship program has improved our ability in interacting with other people such as peers and our
mentors. It is funny to deal with this people specially when they were willing to help and explain to us
about thing that we didn't understand. Being an introvert by nature it was hard to communicate with
people, but during our internship at Hawi software solutions we have enhanced our interpersonal
communication skill and we feel that we can easily deliver a message now. We found it effortless to
communicate with our colleagues and the people around us.
What you gained in terms of entrepreneurship skills ?

• Entrepreneur is a collection of other skills and these skills are

SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT

• The web development project we assigned is an e-commerce website. We had to

make an E-commerce website using the Laravel framework for the purposes of
developing our skills. Since e-commerce site is a very large project for a one
month of internship period we could not complete the entire project.by
considering this very short internship period we were given templates of frontend
webpages. we had to use these templates to implement them using Laravel
framework ,design the database and implement the backend using PHP as well.

• At the beginning of our project, we were given necessary tools for the
development of the project.
PROBLEM STATEMENT AND JUSTIFCATION

• Problem definition
Viewing the latest e-commerce sites implemented in Ethiopia in most of the existing system is great and
have negligible or no limitations. The major problem faced by the existing system is that the Cost of
maintenance is very high and also the cost of resources they use for their betterment is high. Existing
systems also have a downfall that is not able to provide a proper review of the product they are selling.

• Justification
With the problems addressed above we are making the e-commerce site that can remove the problems and
the technological feasibility of this project is that we are using known technologies as well as open-source
codes like the PHP using Laravel framework and MySQL.
OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT

•General objective
The general objective of the project is to reach maximum customers at the right time to increase sales and profitability of the business .
• Specific objective
1.To provide information about various products in a different category.
2.Customer can purchase Products Online.
3.Customer can log in and get various information about products and can purchase a suitable product with price
and quality comparison.
4.Customer can pay online, so security is must, therefore, e-commerce provide secure transactions.
5.After-sale e-commerce also provide after-sales service in which customer problem is solved.
6.Data security is maintained to a relatively high level by implementing it at the Database level, so as to ensure that
only authorized users have access to confidential client information.
METHODOLOGY

• To make this project we have collected data from both primary and secondary sources. These
sources are described below.

▪ Primary Source

• we gathered most of the essential information throughout the internship process from the

• employees “Hawi software solutions”. However, the primary source of data was Hawi feyissa,
general manager of Hawi software solutions.

▪ Secondary Source

• In the case of additional data, we used various online resources and webpages to collect data and
after this we choose iterative model for our project.

GENERAL CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

• Conclusion
As people are not able manage extra time from there busy schedule for their day-to -day work. So they need a quick
fix and easy way to solve this problem. The project helps people in getting updated about the technology by news,
reviewing the products and buying the products on the same portal. This eases their work of visiting different
websites for different stuff. They can save more and more time for there hectic schedule. As said earlier the main
motive of the project and the project is based on “shopping made easy” phenomenon.

• Recommendation
There is a scope for further development in our project to a great extent. A number of features can be
added to this system in future. The features could have been implemented if time and skills did not limit
us.
