Myra Greene

1) Myra Greene was born in New York 1975 (aged 47),

she is a photographer who is very well known for her
“character recognition” series which is a series based off
of the specific parts on an African American face, this
was preformed on slaves and used as a tool for
ethnographic classification.
2) This photograph I have chosen shows the mouth of
a person, the main focus of this image is to show the
specific features of a persons face.
What I like about this photo is image is the back story of
why Myra has taken them and why the whole series was
taken also.
She has used filling the frame composition rule in order
to apply the main focus.
