INTRODUCTION
• In the Visual Arts, classes help to develop the
students’ personalistic styles, the students’ ability to
judge and evaluate great art.
• There are four elements that are extremely
important in how most of art have we appreciate
visually are developed.
1. Medium- is the materials used to make a work of art
2. Tension – or pairing the opposites in works of art
better convey beauty
3. Perspective – is the three dimensional quality of a
work, and its successful use draw a viewer more
deeply into the work.
4.Plan- is the pattern, organization or map system of
art, how its parts are arranged.
Definition of Visual
Arts
THE VISUAL ARTS are art forms that focus on the
creation of works, which are primarily visual in nature
such as drawing, painting, photography, printmaking
and filmmaking.

Plastic Arts- are those that involve three-dimensional


objects, such as sculpture and architecture.

“Visual Artist”- refers to a person working in fine arts


such as painting, sculpture, or printmaking and not
the handicraft, craft, or applied art disciplines.

recorded into a sensitive
medium or storage chip
through a timed exposure.

digital. Cameras have no film,
the images are recorded onto
silicon chips.
- Visual artist are no longer limited to traditional art

ASSESSMENT
Activity # 3 Collage Making (50 points)
Directions: Cut pictures and make a collage
showing the different kinds of visual arts. Make a
title for your output. You may use any medium
in creating your art work.
