INTRODUCTION

• The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to the ever-growing network of

physical objects that feature an IP address for Internet connectivity,
and the communication that occurs between these objects and other
Internet-enabled devices and systems.
• IoT extends Internet connectivity beyond traditional devices like
desktop, laptop, smartphones, tablets, etc.
• IoT can make things easy for us, by connecting things to the internet
and making them easy to reach.

3
OBJECTIVE

• The main aim of IoT is to unify everything in world including things, people,

place and process under a common infrastructure to provide information and
control of state of objects around us. An attempt has been made in this
training to give us an idea about IoT technology, opportunities and its future
scope.
• To have devices that self-report in real-time, improving efficiency and
bringing important information to the surface more quickly than a system
depending on human intervention.
• Gain a deep understanding of sensors – We were introduced to various
different kinds of sensors and there uses.
4
contd…

• Focus on user Interference – While using different software’s for

creating IOT projects we were always guided to prepare a clean UI, so to
make it easy to use for each and everyone.

• Learn JavaScript (JSON) and python – one of the objectives was to

learn python for writing programs to easily plot graph, read and write
data. Learning JSON format so to easily access data from Api’s and then
work on the data to get desired outputs and also to upload data to web.

5
METHODOLOGY

 Each day we were provided with certain assignments which we

used to submit at the allotted time.
 The work assigned at a particular day was generally related to
the things discussed in the class on the same day.
 After the class we used to work on the assignment individually
or in group, as it was directed by our instructor.
 If we faced any kind of problems in the task, we were supported
by them at all points of time and most of the time our problem
was resolved.
6
contd…

 After completion of the task, we used to upload the work in the

Discord server.
 Also, we received feedbacks related to our assignments like if
there is any mistake or not and how to resolve it (if any). This was
generally carried out during the doubt session in the morning.
 Regular Quizzes were also held to keep an eye on our progress in
the training.

DETAILS OF WORK DONE

During the Internship we worked on various topics such as:

 Weather Project – Tells about the weather details of a city, such as Temperature,
humidity, wind speed, etc. This project was done by fetching details from an Api
through Node-Red and then displaying the details in a simple and clean UI made in
Node-Red dashboard
 Smart Project – We designed projects on Cisco Packet Tracer on Smart Home
Server and Registration Server.
 ThingSpeak & Node-Red - We designed a new dashboard and used charts and
alerts to view temperature data and we also implemented ThingSpeak with NodeRed.

8
Contd…

 Wireless Led Bulb Project – In this project we used Think speak and node-Red to
design a project in which one can switch on and off a led bulb wirelessly via there
system from anywhere.
 Blinking of LED Lights – In this project we used Arduino to blink led lights in a series
pattern, one after the other using Tinker Cad website.
 We designed new PCBs using the Arduino Board through Eagle Software.
 We also learnt the basics of building mobile applications through MIT App Inventor.

 Also, we have done several small projects during this summer internships on a daily
basis.

RESULT ANALYSIS

• Helped to gain in-depth technical knowledge of IoT technology.

• Helped to enhance technical skills in real time environment.

• Helped to understand the area of interest and selection of an area of specialization.

• Helped to learn the basics of how to work as a team member and complete given tasks.

• Real-time hands-on experience on projects that help to learn more analytically.

• Interaction with experts to get good practical exposure to industry & technologies.

• Certificate obtained from reputed organizations gives weight to resume or CV.

11
CONCLUSION

• Through this internship program I learnt a lot about IOT, however there are
also some of the key highlights, which I gained through this training and found
helpful:

 Critical and Analytical Thinking

 Time Management

 Goal Management

 Colleague Interactions
