made on publisher starting next lesson.

• Today you will research and collect the information you need.
• Use the next 7 slides to organise your research.
• Then collect suitable images for each section.
What is computer hardware?
A computer hardware is everything physical that is connected to the
computer and is able to be touched
What are input devices?
An input device allows data such as text, images, video or sound
to be entered into a computer system. Keyboard - The most
common input device used for entering text. Includes keys for
word processing and data inputting, and for performing specific
functions.
What are output devices?
An output device is any piece of computer hardware
equipment which converts information into a human-perceptible
form or, historically, into a physical machine-readable form for
use with other non-computerized equipment. It can be text,
graphics, tactile, audio, or video.
What are processors?
A processor (CPU) is the logic circuitry that responds to and
processes the basic instructions that drive a computer. The CPU
is seen as the main and most crucial integrated circuitry (IC) chip
in a computer, as it is responsible for interpreting most of
computers commands.
What is computer storage?
Storage is a process through which digital data is saved within a
data storage device by means of computing technology. Storage
is a mechanism that enables a computer to retain data, either
temporarily or permanently. Storage may also be referred to as
computer data storage or electronic data storage.
What is computer software?
Computer software is instructions that tell a computer what to do.
Software comprises the entire set of programs, procedures, and
routines associated with the operation of a computer system. A
set of instructions that directs a computer's hardware to perform
a task is called a program, or software program.
What is a computer network?
Types of network and how they connect. (WAN & LAN)
The definition of a computer network is a connected group of
computers and computer hardware which are interconnected and
can share resources from one machine to another.
