what are the 4
types of sentences?

• declarative sentence( statement)


• interrogative sentence (question)
• imperative sentence (command)
• exclamatory sentences(exclamation)
Meaning
● the basic type of sentence. Its
purpose is to relay information, and
it is punctuated with a period.

Declarative
for example:
sentence 

Lara is singing.
He makes me happy
 We need cheese to make sandwiches.
 She is eating an orange.
what? Interrogative
sentences
-these are sentences interrogating
or asking questions. And they are
punctuated with a question mark.

for example:
 Will you wait for me?
Meaning
● this kind of sentence do not just simply state a
fact or expression but rather it tell someone to
do something. These can be in the form of
friendly advice, basic instructions or more
forceful commands.

Imperative
for example:
