WHAT IS TELECOM BILL 2022
• 4(8) The new telecom bill – The identity of a person sending a message using telecommunication
services shall be available to the user receiving such message. In such form as may be prescribed ,
unless specified otherwise by the Central Government.
• The National Securities Act , 1980 - The Privacy protection act of 1980 protects journalists and
newsrooms from searches of their “work products” and “documentary materials” by government
officials.
• UIDAI – The UIDAI has the obligation to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data
collected.
