1. How does video- conferencing aid education?
Video- conferencing aids distance education as it uses telecommunication of audio and video signals to bring people at different sites together. It, thereby, makes the process of education faster and simpler. Video- conferencing has converted the world into a Global Classroom.

2 . Where is it generally used ?

In India, premier institutes like IITs, IIMs and NITs use this very method in their libraries to enhance the process of teaching. This method has been highly prevalent in the U.S. in institutes like the Detroit Law College.

Desktop Video- Conferencing Broadband Video- Conferencing ISDN Video- Conferencing IP Video- Conferencing. Out of these four , ISDN is the most preferred type for the purpose of distance education, as it is the fastest of all.

Most common method employed by any person to get any kind of information related to projects. Needless to say, even we have made use of this very method to scout for information on this project. The internet has become one of the greatest aids to education in the present world. The most preferred websites for search are Google and Yahoo.

Initiated in the state of Maharashtra for the admission procedure of

FYJC from the year 2009. First ever step taken in the technological direction for the field of education in Maharashtra. Being the first time of the effort, there were several problems faced by the students & parents alike. Many students failed to get admission in the colleges of their choice despite having a good percentage. A highly commendable initiative in the direction of merging computers with education in India.

The Procedure of Online Admission

1. Registration of Exam seat number, marks on the official website of the board. 2. Student immediately receives login id & password. 3. Fill up the application form. 4. Preferences of the colleges are marked. 5. Message is received by the student. 6. Best possible college allotted according to the preference marked. 7. Student receives an SMS informing him about the college in which he has received admission.

Conclusion
As we have seen there are a few applications of computers being used in education. But, there needs to be a greater emphasis on this field in our country. We must thereby take up the initiative of bringing in more and more uses of the computer in education. This will make education more accessible and better for all.
