Tenses are form of verb that shows if something happens
in the past, present or future. There are 3 types of tenses:- 1) Simple Present Tense 2) Simple Past Tense 3) Simple Future Tense SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE • We use the simple present tense when an action is happening right now, or when it happens regularly. Depending on the person, the simple present tense is formed by using the root form or by adding –s or –es to the end. • Examples:- 1. Birds can fly. 2. Can u lend me a pencil? 3. A lion kills a prey by grabbing its neck. SIMPLE PAST TENSE • We use the simple past tense when an action has already finished. Depending on the person, the simple past tense is formed by adding –ed or -d to the end of the root form of the verb. Examples:- 1. I enjoyed the movie. 2. I watched TV for the whole day. 3. I solved a worksheet on multiplication. SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE • We use the simple future tense when an action is going to happen. Depending on the person, the simple tense is formed by using the root form and adding “will” or “shall” before the verb. • Examples:- 1. I will go to play. 2. I shall go to Imagica tomorrow. 3.
