2.2 Prepare for installation

 Confirm with installation conditions

 Ground flatness, Weight capacity, Wall structure, (solid wall or hollow wall);
 Power supply ≥1KW at installation site, maximum power of the system shall be
1.5 times of video wall. To ensure installation process.
 Ensure construction security. Avoiding manual damage device.
 Clean and tidy. There’s enough installation space.
 Inspection
 LCD screen, Bracket quantity, Package verification;
 Check LCD screens quality after Unpacking;
 Devices shall be handed over to storage when customer don’t install instantly.

Note: Two people are required when carrying LCD Screens. hold and carry them at
same time with two hands. Clear space ahead for path of LCD screens.

10
LCD Checkup And Acceptance

 Acceptance Process
 One person holds LCD screen, another person plug in power and test.
 Test Procedures :
① Check if the screen can normally boot after plug in power;
② Connect to screen infrared remote controller, Press [TEST] button and check
if the screen display is normal or not, If it has bright line, broken screen and
liquid leakage, etc.

 Notice:
 Distinguish the up and down side: The square hole of slider is
downward as the picture shows.
 Distinguish the forward and backward side: The side of shell frame
with wall hanging bar is forward direction.

2.4 Screen Body Installation

 Pot hook Installation

 Notice : Turn the adjusting screw below 1.5cm of hanging bar after finishing
pothook installation. Keep off bump against due to lack of reserved space when
installing screen.

19
Screen Body Installation

 Two people are in front of the screen and lift it up. And another person
shall be at back of bracket and cooperate. Hang the pot hook into
adjusting screw slot.

20
Screen Body Installation

 Micro-adjust the screen position:

 The screen should be tuned after spliced screen installation to ensure flatness
and perpendicularity.

Vertical Horizontal
Adjustment Adjustment

21
2.5 Flatness and bezel micro-adjustment

 After installing all screens, flatness and bezel micro-adjustment are required.

The method are similar to 2.4.

 Flatness micro-adjustment:

 Avoid uneven surface of the video wall;

 The screens shall be strictly 90° vertical, the difference shall be less than 2mm;

 The screens shall be strictly 180° horizontal, the difference shall be less than

2mm.

22
Flatness and bezel micro-adjustment

 Bezel Standard:
 Even bezel between screens, cross-shaped without dislocation;
 No squeezing between screens, the gap shall be strictly 0.6mm. Test standard:
a piece of A4 paper shall easily slide through.

24
2.6 Cabling

 Control Cable
 Control cables are for loop output and splicing display, it transmit control
signals between screens, standard cables are network cable with RJ45
interfaces.

Screen 3 Screen 4

25
Cabling

 Video Signal Cable

 3 types: DVI/HDMI/VGA;
 Cable connection should follow screen sequence as the picture below
shows:

26
Cabling

 Power Cable

27
Cabling

 Cabling Rules:

 Signal cable and power cables shall be place separately to avoid

electromagnetic interference.

 The curving radius shall be more than 15 times of the cable diameter. Avoid

bending and squeezing of cables. Every 30cm of the cables shall have a bondage

to fix them.

 Both ends of the cables shall be marked with some tag for easy identification.

 Avoid exposing too many cables outside the brackets or twisting of the cables in

consideration of appearance and cable safety.

29
2.7 System Debugging

 Screen ID Setting--:
Remote Controller;

 Setting Control Devices:

 Device connection;
 Device setting.

3.2 Bad Pixel

 Bad Pixels
 Less than(including) 3 non-continuous bad pixels are acceptable quality.
 If more, discuss with customers for proper handling.
 Test method
 check the screens 1 meter away, if the bad pixel can’t be seen, it means the
screens are acceptable.

3.3 Light Leakage

 Sometimes light leakage is inevitable, improper shipment or installation can

cause light leakage.
 Two main reasons:
 Squeezing screens during installation;
 Uneven flatness, twisted screens.

 Maintenance:
 If leakage is caused by screen squeezing, adjust the gap between screens following
2.5;
 Or adjust the “L” shaped handle at the back of the screen frame, make sure the
screens are vertically even;
 After a while, the light leakage will disappear.
