According to McGlee(1977:132) there are certain identifying character of social organization which are follows:
a.Differentiation in statuses and roles on the basis of sex,age,and ability which is observed on in the activities of different
types of people.
b.Reccurent connection betweensets of activities and the repeated tendency for a type of social activity to follow regularly
after another.
c.A system of norms and values govern the social activities.
d.Control:Some persons control the behavior of others and a system of sanction to maintain orderly behavior

Social structure
Just like other object, a house has a structure. Social organizations also have
one despite the fact that it cannot be observed directly.
Social structure is and abrstractionand cannot be seen but has to be inferred
from the observation of human behavior.
Socialstructure refers to the independent network of roles and hierarchy of
statuses which define the reciprocal expectations and the power arrangement of
the members of the social unit guided by norms(sheriff and sheriff 1969:150)
It is the patterned and recurrent social relationshipamong persons in organized
collectivities as well as among the various oarts (Perussi, Knudsen and hamby
1977:39)
Social status
Refers to the sum total of behavior expectations and activities associated with
social position which a which a holder is supposed to carry out and perform.
It conveys the prescribed or ideal standards of behavior that a holder of a social
position is supposed to carry.
In family
The varieties of statuses are those husband, wife and
daughter,father,mother,brother and sister
Roles are mutually independent, and each individual members places his or her role in
relation to others
