What is Personal Development? Personal development is a lifelong process of identifying where we are compared to where we need to be and doing what it takes to bridge the gap. • Want — have a desire to possess or do (something); wish for. • Need — require (something) because it is essential or very important rather than just desirable. Capacity Building A commitment to the continuous expansion of one’s ability and skills for the purpose of destiny actualization. Areas of Personal Development • Spiritual development • Moral development • Academic development • Mental development • Social development • Career development • Leadership development • physical development Reasons for Personal Development 1.
