Ways To Improve Confidence
There Are Two Sides to
Improving Confidence:

Internally feel More Confident

and Person’s Abilities.

Appear More Confident to

Other People.
1.Planning and Preparation-People often feel Less
Confident about New or Potentially Difficult Situations.

2. Learning, Knowledge and Training- Help the person

to feel More Confident about his Ability to handle
Situations, Roles and Tasks.

3. Positive Thought-It is a very Powerful Way of

Improving Confidence.

4.Experience- Person successfully complete the Tasks

and Goals, his Confidence to complete the same and
similar Tasks again increases.
5. Try to Recondition the Way Person Think About His
Life:

Know Strengths And Weaknesses- Write a list of things

that person Good at and Need Improvement.

Everyone Make Mistakes- Don't think about Mistakes as

Negatives but rather as Learning Opportunities.

Accept Compliments- Person receive a Compliment

from somebody else, thank them and ask for more details.

Use Criticism As A Learning Experience- Criticism is just

the opinion of somebody else. Be Assertive when receiving
Criticism, don't reply in a Defensive Way or Let Criticism
Lower person’s Self-Esteem.
6.Be Assertive- Standing Up for what person Believes In
and Sticking to his Principles.

e.g. Change person’s mind if he believes that it is the

Right Thing to do, not because he is Under Pressure
from somebody else.

7.Keep Calm

A Correlation between Confidence and Calmness.

Feel Confident about a Task-Feel Calm about doing it.
Feel Less Confident- More Stressed or Nervous.
Remain Calm-Even in Under Stress and Pressure, will
tend to make feel More Confident.
Developing Self-Confidence
Skills:

It Diminish over the time if

person don't practice his Skills
or if he Hit Set-Backs.

 As person become More Self-

Confident, he should continue to
practice his Skills to Maintain
and Boost his Confidence
further.
CONFIDENCE TARGETS
Set ‘Confidence Targets' that require a person to Step
Out of his Comfort Zone and do things that make him
feel a Degree of Nervousness or Apprehension.

Potential Confidence Targets May Include:

Start a Task or Project that has been Putting Off for

a long time.

Make a Complaint in a Restaurant if there is a

problem with order.
Stand Up and Ask a Question at a Public Meeting or
in a Group.

Volunteer to give a Presentation or Make a Speech.

Person Introduce Himself to Somebody New.

Garish Color.
