Introduction:
- A cell division is when the parent cell divides in to two daughter cells to
make new cells.

- Cells divide in order to assure proper development/growth, to heal

wounds, and to replace cells.

- Cells that undergo mitosis are eukaryotic somatic cells.

Interphase
Interphase
A cell spends most of its time in
interphase, and during interphase it
replicates chromosome and grows
and prepares itself for cell division
02
Mitosis
Mitosis
Is a process in which cells replicates its
chromosome and then segregates
(separates) them, which produces two
identical nuclei

Prophase
Prophase is the first
phase of mitosis. During
prophase the complex
proteins and DNAs in the
nucleus (known as
chromatid) condense.
The nuclear membrane
disappears and the
spindle fibers form.
Metaphase
During metaphase, the
nucleus desolves and the
chromosome condenses
and moves together on
the equatorial line. Asters
and spindle fibers also are
formed.
Anaphase
Each chromatid of
chromosomes (sister
chromatids) move towards
a pole of the cell. The
centromere will dissolve to
allow movement of
chromatids.
Telophase
Is the fifth and final stage
of mitosis. During
telophase the genetic
material carried in the
nucleus duplicated,
separates into two
identical cells.

Cytokinesis
Cytokinesis
Cytokinesis is when the cell is
prepared to divide and what's left is
the contractor link to form and pinch
(in animals cells) the cell inwards and
then starts to shrink down until the
cells are separated.
