The result of the study shows that the pre-test of


the 4 groups under experimental and control group
in both university and school stage on the
Grammar Achievement is not statistically
significant and all groups are equivalent, while the
post-test of the 4 groups under experimental and
control group in both university and school stage
on the Grammar Achievement indicates that those
under the Deductive Teaching scores lower than
those under the Inductive Teaching .

The findings of the study states the following:

• The Deductive Teaching of Grammar is more


effective in achieving the academic success of
the Adult Learners (age 18-30 yrs old).
• Even though the adult learners feel more
satisfied with Inductive Teaching of Grammar,
they still prefer the traditional teaching
approach in learning the grammar rules and
structures

The following are the results of the study:

• The learners under the deductive teaching shows


significant higher levels of accuracy in following
grammar instructions than those who took the inductive
teaching.
• Adult learners’ consciously processes rules while
younger learners learn languages easily with minimal
help from others.
• In terms of fluency, there was no significant difference
between the students under the inductive and
deductive method
