Example:
fat –fatter - fattest
big – bigger - biggest
small – smaller - smallest
high – higher - highest

*compare more than 2 things

1. Add ‘the’
Example:

the biggest shoe
the smallest mouse
the highest mountain
2. + ‘est’ to 1 syllable adjectives
Example:
fat – fattest

3. + ‘est’ to 2 syllable adjectives ending in
‘er’, ‘y’, ‘ow’, ‘le’
Example:
clever – cleverest
easy – easiest
narrow – narrowest
simple - simplest
4. add ‘most’ to non-original adjectives
