BUYAYANG LYRICS
Buyayang, Buyayang, Buyayang sa tubig Didto sa Mindanao duna kami balay
Ako nanakayan, walay katig-katig Ang kanhingalagkaw ni Nanay ug Tatay
Walay bugsay-bugsay, bukton ray Sila gapanguha’g uway ug bagakay
pangkaykay
Aron pabayluag mga isdang gagmay
Pagdunggo sa baybay, nagakapay-kapay

Minsa’y isang Tatay payapang nagbungkal

Sa yutang gisaad, katin-aw sa tubig
Katabang ni Nanaysa lupang gimahal
Dayo ug lumad, kalinaw Ang ibig
Naay munting paslit na nais mag-aral
Apan Isang Araw, punglo ay umulan
Digmaan at sakit hinoo’y umiral
Nawasak na hana munting kabuhayan

Halina't magmasid at maunawaan
Buyog at kuliglig Panay ang tagisan
Maysa himpapawid sarajutlathal-an
Maysa himpapawid sarajutlathal-an
Ngunitb di narinig, ang tinig Ng bayan.

Ballads - are narrative poems meant to be sung. They are

briefer than the epics and they usually tell stories
about a person. Because ballads started from the common
people, they use repetitive and simple language as well as
